Who we are

This policy covers reviveyourmemory.com. We publish articles and product reviews about memory and brain health. The site is run by Digipeak Media, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy through the contact page.

What we collect and why

Visitor statistics without cookies (Umami)

We count page views and clicks on product links with Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. Umami sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or other data that identifies you. It records things like the page you viewed, the site that referred you, your country, and your browser and device type, all in aggregate. Because nothing identifies you, it runs for every visitor.

Analytics and click-tracking cookies

We also use two tools that set cookies:

  • Google Analytics 4, from Google, shows us how visitors find and use the site. It sets Google cookies in your browser. Google processes the data under its own privacy policy, and the data may be transferred outside the EU.
  • Klyqq is a click-tracking tool. It sets a first-party cookie, kept for up to 2 years, that shows us which recommendations people click, so we can match a visit to a later sale reported by an affiliate network.

When these cookies are used

This site is written for readers in the United States, and it treats visitors differently depending on where they are. We use two signals to tell the groups apart, and either one is enough to place you in Europe:

  • the country of your IP address, which Cloudflare, the network in front of our server, passes along with each request. We keep only the result (“Europe” or “elsewhere”) in a cookie that expires after one day, never the address itself or the country;
  • the time zone your device is set to, which is read in your browser and not sent to us.

Based on that:

  • In the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland (or if your device’s time zone cannot be read), we ask first. Neither tool loads until you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Click “Decline” and neither is loaded; the site works exactly the same.
  • Everywhere else, both tools load by default and no banner is shown. You can opt out at any time.
  • If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, wherever you are, we treat it as an opt-out: neither tool loads and we don’t ask. The signal is noted in a cookie that also expires after one day.

Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with the round cookie button in the bottom-left corner of every page, through “Cookie settings” in the footer, or here: . A choice you make there overrides the defaults above, including Global Privacy Control. If you opt out after the tools have loaded, the page reloads without them and their cookies are deleted. We store your choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on every page.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply to you. The message is delivered to us by Backend Forms, a form-handling service, which passes it on and does not use it for anything else. We do not add you to a mailing list or pass your details on. The form is protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automated abuse.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours briefly logs technical request data such as IP address, time and page requested. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running, and they are deleted automatically.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site go to products we are paid a commission for. When you click one, you leave our site and the seller or affiliate network may set its own cookies to credit the sale to us. What happens there is covered by their privacy policies, not this one.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. The only outside services that receive any data are the ones named above: Google (Analytics), Klyqq (click tracking), Cloudflare (which sits in front of the site and runs Turnstile on the contact form) and Backend Forms, which delivers contact form messages to us.

How long we keep data

Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request. Analytics data is kept in aggregate for as long as it helps us improve the site. Google Analytics deletes event-level data after 2 months and user-level data after 14 months without a new visit from you.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings. Send any request through the contact page. If you live in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
